Windows of opportunity

Windows of opportunity present themselves - anytime, any place.

Today was an opportunity to ride across the hills and rejoice in the feeling of wind in my hair and ruffling and blowing Prince’s mane - flying free and full of thankfulness. (It was actually very, very windy - haa haa). However, in spite of the blustery conditions, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We were in our own world of contentment.

It has been many months since we have had the pleasure of riding out and taking in the vistas, north, south, east and west.

We met a large mob of kangaroos who suddenly appeared atop the rise near Picnic Point. They had been lazing down on the creek, no doubt feeling quite relaxed and peaceful before we intruded upon their world.

The big males were extremely curious and quite told. When they reared up to full height, the bulging muscles would have done any heavy weight champion boxer justice. Huge muscles rippling across their shoulders and chest - and the size of those legs. Wow!

Prince and myself stood still and admired them as they hopped lazily and majestically across the paddock.

The blessings of being able to seize the day and what it had to offer did not pass without many heartfelt prayers of thankfulness for the privilege and opportunity - the gift of today.

A happy horse, happy human experience.
